Seriously, it’s literally a single email. ![]() Valve has gone to such great lengths to enable proper anti-cheat support on Linux, that developers like Bungie using BattlEye anti-cheat don’t need to anything more than send an email to Valve.Then again, Proton isn’t technically needed: there’s already an official build of Destiny 2 running on Linux, via Google’s Stadia cloud streaming service.It is what powers the gaming experience on Steam Deck, and by extension a constantly-improving gaming experience on desktop Linux. From a technical point of view, it already runs well on Linux thanks to Valve’s “Proton,” a Windows compatibility that’s been in development for years. ![]()
